When looking at any forum subtopic you should see a button in the upper right hand corner that says "New Topic" clicking this will let you make a new topic, also called a thread. These are the elements of a topic:
Title - keep it descriptive yet short
Message Icon - an icon that summarizes your message, no that important
Body - the message itself

Likewise, when reading a thread there is a button to reply within that thread. This adds on another post to the bottom of an existing chain, or thread, of posts.

Forming the body of your message:
Basic Text styles:

Highlighting text you want to modify and clicking any of these buttons in any combination will provide the effect shown on the buttons. Effects are adding the form of tags that look like this:

These codes always work by having a message in brackets at the beginning followed by the same message with a slash on the front after the modified text. You can use as many tags on one item as you like.

Inserting images:
To insert an image you must first have the image hosted on another website (for example www.imageshack.us). Once you have you image hosted you will get a direct URL link to it that looks something like http://eococ.org/forum/Themes/default/images/bbc/img.gif, with the end always being the name of you image. To make this image show up you just paste the code into your message, highlight the URL, then press the button. The result should look similar to this:

Bible Verses:
Another interesting feature of the forums is the ability to insert a bible verse without looking it up. For example, if you wanted to post the Genesis 1:1-5 you could use either of the following, created by typing the scripture name, highlighting, and pressing :
